Sing It To My Face, by Wellington based theatre company Barbarian Productions, is an inter-generational music theatre project featuring volunteer local singers. Four different generational choirs will let each other know how they really feel about society in a stylised, theatrical performance of a fully scored choral arrangement. They are looking for singers from 6 - 99 years of age, from all corners of the Wairarapa. Confident singers and first-timers welcome!

If you are interested in performing come along to one of our information sessions. Jo Randerson, Director and Julian Raphael, Musical Director will be there to tell you about the project and you can register to participate.

Programme Launch Date Announced

The great news today is that we've confirmed our Programme Launch date for the Festival. We'll be launching on the 20th August and you'll be able to see the programme live and online that evening. Tickets can be purchased on a priority basis for our Sponsors, Patrons and Festival Friends from the 20th and everyone else will be able to buy tickets around one week later.

We've already got some outstanding national (and international) events confirmed but you'll just have to sit tight until then to find out more.

If you are interested in becoming a Sponsor, Patron, Festival Friend or volunteering for the Festival then please get in touch with Annabelle O'Meara, our Festival Coordinator ([email protected]) and she will get the right person to get in touch with you.

Dates Confirmed for this Year

The Wairarapa Arts Festival Trustees were really proud that the 2013 Kokomai Creative Festival reached the far corners of the Wairarapa and featured an inspiring series of workshops and performances of music, visual arts, film, dance, theatre and culinary arts and literature for all. We look forward to entertaining you again this year with 10 days of events and experience from the 16th to the 25th October, 2015.
